Guided Silent Retreats

In a culture that moves at a relentless pace and places countless demands on our time and attention, retreats can sometimes feel like a luxury rather than a necessity. Yet, as Anne Lamott reminds us, “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”
Throughout His ministry, Jesus regularly withdrew to quiet places to pray and be alone with the Father. Following His example, we, too, need intentional spaces to step away from the noise and demands of daily life and become more attentive to God’s presence.
I offer guided silent retreats as an invitation to slow down, unplug, and create space for prayer, stillness, and the nourishment of your soul. Each retreat offers a gentle, intentional structure that includes time for silence and solitude, shared silence with fellow retreatants, and opportunities to gather in prayer and reflect together—or individually, as needed—on how we sense God moving within us. My hope is to provide a peaceful, welcoming space where you can rest in God’s presence, listen more deeply, and reconnect with the One who meets you with love and grace.
To help you fully settle into this time of rest, I plan and prepare all meals with the dietary needs of retreatants in mind, allowing you to step away from the responsibilities of everyday life and simply receive.
If you would like to gather a small group of friends, I would be delighted to work with you to find a peaceful, secluded setting for your retreat. Groups are limited to no more than four people to preserve the quiet and contemplative nature of the experience.
Twice a year, I offer guided silent retreats in El Dorado County. Whether you live locally or are considering traveling to attend, I would love to connect with you.
